Emely Condor

Peruvian economist with over four years of experience in public institutions, strategic planning, and public policy implementation. She led initiatives at the Peruvian Ministry of Education to provide internet access to 16,657 public schools. Currently a consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in Washington, D.C.,contributing to the New IDB Group Institutional Strategy. Founder and CEO of SAPHI, promoting social equity by empowering Quechua-speaking communities.

Recognized for academic excellence and leadership, she has received prestigious fellowships, including those from the Santa Fe Institute, Propel, Georgetown University, and Emprende UP. Skilled in data analysis with expertise in Stata, R, and Python.

2020

Obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico, Lima, Peru, graduating with distinction for a thesis graded (17.00/20.00) and recognized on the Honor List with the Entrepreneurship Excellence Award.

Founded SAPHI, a social startup promoting the Quechua language and preserving Peruvian cultural identity.

2021

Worked as a Data Analyst in the Strategic Planning and Budget Office at the Peruvian Ministry of Education. Led the Digital Gap Bridging Program and the Hybrid Education Initiative, developing strategies to provide internet access to 16,657 Peruvian public schools.

2023

Moved to Washington, D.C., to work as a economics consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank, supporting institutional strategy, public reforms, and policies for lending instruments across Latin America and the Caribbean.

2024

Led SAPHI to win its first grant ($15K) receiving funding to develop QIMIY, an AI designed to eliminate linguistic barriers for Quechua-speaking communities in Peru and Bolivia.
